Mathew Garver is the President & Managing Partner of Liberty Street Capital. Matt began in the private equity industry in the late '90s, where he has served as an advisor, private equity investor, partner, board directors, corporate development, financier. He also served as Sec to Global Infra Steering Committee at DLA Piper, world's largest law firm & Senior Advisor to Patton Boggs, leading global law firms for economics and international projects. Mr. Garver is a Fellow from Harvard University the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, A DFS in Finance and Economics from Saïd Business School at Oxford University, and a BA in Economics from Michigan State Univ. He is the author of numerous articles on regional and international economics. He serves on numerous boards for both private companies and philanthropic foundations.
Dr. Cox is an advisor to Liberty Street & co-founder of M&E Global. M&E Dr. Cox previously managed Cox Communications Consultants GmbH in Germany. Previously, he was Managing Director of Hill & Knowlton Switzerland and senior consultant at Burson-Marsteller in Frankfurt, New York, and Hamburg. He is author of six books published by McGraw-Hill NY, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Verlag, and Gestion 2000, in addition to hundreds of professional articles on management topics. He received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, a DFS in Finance from Oxford University, MA/BA degrees from Boston University. He lives in Spain.
Jed Freedlander is an advisor to Liberty Street. He is the Senior Vice President of Hunt Companies, leading various infrastructure/P3 development efforts in North America for Hunt Development Group and Hunt’s UK-based affiliate, Amber Infrastructure. Jed actively leads teams of designers, contractors, operators, advisors and investors in the pursuit and development of essential civic infrastructure projects in the resilience, justice, education, mobility, recreational/tourism and alternative energy sectors. He formerly served as Vice President for Balfour Beatty Investments (BBI), as well as lead associate in the infrastructure groups at DLA Piper and Patton Boggs in NYC. He holds a BA from University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
William McLean is a Managing Partner at Liberty Street. Bill serves as the chief technologist, software architect, developer of proprietary algorithms data analytics modeling, and risk management systems. William brings 23 years of derivatives trading experience as a former trading member at the CBOE. Served as former Susquehanna Trading Group, first technologist and market maker for Peak6 Trading. Founded F100 Tool Company in 1999, building proprietary commercialized technology platforms to over 100 hedge funds clients. F100 was central in algorithmic trading models and provides algorithmic support to trading firms, family offices, and hedge funds. Graduate of Amherst College, BA in Philosophy
John is a Managing Partner with Liberty Street and has +30 years as Portfolio Manager, Risk Manager for large proprietary investment firms including UBS, O’Conner & Associates, Peak 6 and TransMarket Group. John ran a multi-billion derivatives portfolio at UBS as a leading expert in risk management for clients. John served as a institutional portfolio manager, risk management positions experience and also managing large investment teams. Prior to UBS, John was a portfolio manager at O’Conner & Associations, where he spent 5-yrs a lead Market Maker, Trader and Portfolio Manager. John has degree in Finance from University of Virginia and is a guest lecturer at Darden School of Business for MBA students.
